Château Balestard La Tonnelle

Château Balestard La Tonnelle sits on the edge of the village of Saint Émilion and is owned by the famous Capdemourlin family who also own and Châteaux Cap de Mourlin and Petit Faurie Soutard - also located in the appellation of Saint-Émilion.

The vineyards at Château Balestard La Tonnelle are divided into 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon with vines averaging 33 years of age.Balestard La Tonnelle is aged in 50% new, French oak barrels for 15 to 18 months and has an annual production of around 4,500 cases.

Their wines are characterised as being a full-bodied yet exquisitely elegant and aromatic, with tones of black and red fruits and dark notes of chocolate and truffle.
