Château Beychevelle is located in the Saint-Julien appellation of the Bordeaux and many say it has one of the most beautiful and classically French Château in the Médoc region. It is owned by a French company, Grands Millésimes de France. The bottles depict an image of a ship because the name Beychevelle has evolved over time from the French version of the nautical term "lower sails" or "Baisse-Vaille". These wines are known for their smooth and supple character that also are well concentrated and therefore age well. The château has a second wine named Amiral de Beychevelle.
