Gibson Wines - Château Haut Bailly - Château Fombrauge

Set in the Pessac-Léognan appellation on the left bank of the river Garonne, Château Haut-Bailly is ranked with some of the best in the commune. In 1955 it was bought by the Sanders family and the estate was run by Jean Sanders up until 1998 when an American banker from New York, Robert G. Wilmers, purchased it. Robert and his wife Elizabeth (who is French) are involved in all major decision making and strategy of the Château and appointed Véronique Sanders, granddaughter of Jean Sanders, to manage the estate. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (25%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). The estate's second wine is named Le Parde de Haut-Bailly.
