Château Giscours

Set in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux sits Château Giscours, one of the largest Margaux estates with a history dating back to the 14th Century. Since 2000, Alexander van Beek has turned the fate of Château Giscours around. One of the first things he did was to plant more vines, (increasing the number of Cabernet Sauvignon) as many of the old vines were in poor health. Wines from Château Giscours are said to be classically Margaux with all the appellations best qualities shown, ‘the finesse of the tannins, purity, a gentle, refined elegance, and great finish on the palate.’ The Château Producers a second wine, La Sirène de Giscours.
