Located in the far south of the Haut-Médoc region of Bordeaux lies Château Sénéjac. In the past this Cru Bourgeois estate was best known for its production white wines, however today the vineyards are planted with 100% classic red Bordeaux varietals - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
The production is approximately 16,000 cases are produced per year and the wine is matured in 25% new oak barrels for around 18 months (depending on the vintage).
Alfred Tesseron of the famous Pauillac property Château Pontet Canet has brought his knowledge and expertise to Sénéjac, introducing many of the same biodynamic farming methods. The grapes are hand-picked and the vinification process is under the control of Alfred and his team to create a wine with a sense of pedigree and opulence and with great balance.
