91 Points - Neal Martin
The 2015 Saintayme has become perhaps the most opulent 2015 from Denis Durantou, with copious blackberry and raspberry coulis scents intermingling with vanilla and a touch of violet. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy tannin, finely structured with great depth. It maybe does not quite have the persistence of the Les Cruzelles and La Chenade, but I strongly suspect that it will repay a couple of years in bottle. Maybe this has something up its sleeve? It will be fascinating to plot this Saint-Émilion’s progress. Anticipated maturity: 2020 - 2032.
