Château Trotanoy

Château Trotanoy sits in the appellation of Pomerol, a few kilomatres away from Château Pétrus. The name Trotanoy comes from the French Term ‘trop ennui’ which roughly translates as ‘too much to bother with’.   Since 1953, Jean-Pierre Mouiex has owned the estate - the vineyards are planted with grape varieties of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The average annual production of Château Trotanoy is around 2,000 cases per year.  Since 2009 there has been a second wine, L’Esperance de Trotanoy.
