This champagne displays a rather dense and luminous colour, of pale and clear straw yellow, with reflections of golden yellow and silvery shimmers. The champagne is animated by its fine and vivacious bubbles, which make up the delicate collar. The visual sensation indicates a lush and fresh wine.
With 10ha touching the Montagne de Reims planted 85% to Pinot Meunier, the Salmon family shows justifiable pride in Champagne’s ‘third’ variety: red summer fruits, floral and spicy notes with zest and suppleness to finish clean and dry, thanks to a low 7g/l dosage.
The 2012 Club Meunier Special Cuvée is a rich and fresh Champagne, with a great harmony and a depth of fruit balanced by a high quality minerality. We suggest a tasting temperature between 9 and 14 ° C.
Our 2015 white Chaumuzy offers the taster a deep golden hue, slightly frosted. The nose is opulent and rich, unexpected power on a white wine. Woody notes dominate fresh citrus zest (kumquat, pomelo) and will tend to round and blend over time. Brioche notes with candied citrus and dried fruits will then take over.
Red wine has a beautiful purple color with deep violet hues. On the nose, we find the fruity promise of the dress: blackcurrant berries, tangy red berries and fresh citrus fruits. The palate is light and fruity, true to the nose and slightly tannic. The barrel offers spicy notes nicely melted. This 2015 vintage can be served as an aperitif, on grilled white meat or barbecue.
