International Wine & Spirits Competition: Silver 2017 & 2018
Exclusive to The Vinorium
The 2015 Chaumuzy Blanc offers a deep golden hue, which is slightly frosted. The nose is opulent and rich with an unexpected power. Woody notes dominate fresh citrus zest which will round and blend over time. Brioche notes with candied citrus and dried fruits will then take over. The taste is a perfect image of the nose, revived by a beautiful acidity that gives a great freshness to the wine. This 2015 vintage is best served with seafood or oysters, in its youth. Over time, it can be enjoyed with white meat dishes with exotic or sweet notes.
Exclusive to The Vinorium
This red wine has a beautiful purple colour with deep violet hues. On the nose, there is a fruity promise of blackcurrant berries, tangy red berries and fresh citrus fruits. The palate is light and fruity, true to the nose and slightly tannic. The barrel adds spicy notes which are nicely blended. This 2015 vintage can be served as an aperitif, with grilled white meat or barbecue food.
97+ Points - Stuart McCloskey "The ’02 Cuvée Nicolas François is made from solely Grand Cru fruit (60% Pinot Noir & 40% Chardonnay) and is one of the most beautiful Champagnes that I and many critics have tasted for many years. Some are comparing the ’02 to the great and legendary 1964, which is an extraordinary tribute. A Champagne that can be easily described as hauntingly beautiful as the balance between power and endless complexity is something very rare. The best wine from Billecart’s portfolio and will reward a further 10-15 years of cellaring (if you can resist)."
Cuvée Nicolas François is made from solely Grand Cru fruit sourced from the classified Côte des Blancs vineyards (Chardonnay) and the Montagne de Reims (Pinot Noir). Its vinification, partially in traditional oak casks, underpins the generous character of this fine, elegant and rich wine. The balance of a tension controlled by the blossoming of the wine (preserved peaches, fine apple tart and lemon verbana tea) and embodied by the line of noble flavours (fresh figs and exceptional teas). It maintains a consistency reflecting a distinct personality and retains a power controlled by a well integrated low dosage.

(Disgorged July 2015, Lees: 72 months)
In short, this is simply the greatest Blanc de Noir (100% Pinot Noir) which money can buy. Produced from an ancient vineyard planted in 1946 and spends an incredible 72 months on its lees, which adds considerable complexity to what is already something quite extraordinary. This is truly a treat and stirs the depths of your soul (if you are one of the lucky few).

97+ Points - Antonio Galloni "The 2006 Comtes de Champagne is striking, especially in the way it brings together elements of ripeness and freshness in a hypothetical blend of the 2002 and 2004. Smooth and creamy on the palate, the 2006 is all about texture. There is a real feeling of density and weight in the 2006, qualities I expect to see grow with time in the bottle. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. The 2006 has been nothing short of magnificent both times I have tasted it. Comtes de Champagne remains the single best value (in relative terms) in tête de cuvée Champagne. I suggest buying a case and following it over the next 20-30 years, which is exactly what I intend to do. There is little doubt the 2006 Comtes de Champagne is a magical Champagne in the making."
