The history of Sainte Marie goes back to the 18th century when the land belonged to Monastery of Verne. A terrible epidemic of cholera devastated the whole region back in 1884 but stopped right at the boundary to the property. A statue of the Virgin Marie was built in recognition and this in turn gave its name to the property and their best wine. The main goal of this picturesque property in Provence is to produce fine wines that reflect their exquisite land. With biodynamic techniques in place and a hands-on approach to the wine production, wines of high quality are consistently made year on year.
