Château Malescot St-Exupery is set in the appellation of Margaux and has a history dating back to the 18thCentury. The Swiss Zuger family purchased the property in 1955 and invested heavily in the Château and its winery. The winery and the cellars are situated in the town on Margaux with around 60 acres of wines across the appellation. The vineyards are planted with a mix of four classic Bordeaux grape varieties of predominately Cabernet Sauvignon followed by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and a small amount of Petit Verdot. Today the estate is run by Jean-Luc Zuger with Michel Rolland is the consultant. The motto on the château’s bottle reads “Semper Ad Altum,” which is translated into “Always striving higher”.
