The Jerez (or Sherry) region of Spain is one of the hottest fine wine regions in the world and is positioned just across from the coast of North Africa in the far south of the country in Andalucia. Sherry is a fortified white wine that has been made for centuries - it is mostly dry and made to be paired with food. The major styles of Sherry are – Fino and Manzanilla (the lightest styles of Sherry), Amontillado (an aged Fino Sherry with a darker colour and nuttier, richer finish) and Oloroso (seriously aged, aromatic and spicy style of Sherry). We have some incredible examples of these dry Sherries from Bodegas Lustau including their delicious dessert wine Pedro Ximinez.
