The Pavie-Macquin 2007 has a ripe fig-tinged bouquet with macerated dark cherries, sous-bois and a touch of honey. Fine definition. The palate is well defined with an edgy entry, crisp acidity with a peppery finish. Very elegant and refined, this is a lovely Saint Emilion 2007. Drink over 8-12 years.

The 2006 Clos de Sarpe is medium to deep garnet in color and scented of crème de cassis, blackberry pie and mulberries with touches of underbrush, sandalwood, pencil shavings and tobacco. Medium-bodied with a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins and wonderful freshness, it has a great core of ripe, savory/sweet fruit and a very long ﬁnish.

One of the superstars of the vintage, this classic Montrose is not as showy or opulent as the 2010, 2009 or 2003, but it offers a dense purple color followed by gorgeously sweet black raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with loamy, earthy, forest floor notes, a floral component and a long, full-bodied finish. The 2008 was fashioned from yields of 44 hectoliters per hectare which is slightly less than the 2010's 45 hectoliters per hectare. Forget it for 5-8 years and drink it over the following 20+.

An incredibly fresh, lively 2003, this wine offers a dense ruby/purple color along with full body and a remarkable nose of black currants, kirsch, lead pencil shavings and vanilla. Opulent, full-bodied and close to full maturity, it is a seamless classic that will age for 15-20 more years. Kudos to the Delon family for such a brilliant achievement in a tricky vintage.

Love the aromas of toasted oak, lemon pie and cream. Full body, with intense tropical and citrus fruit flavors and a long, lightly oily and creamy finish. Fieuzal white may be coming back to its glory days from the 1980s? Best after 2013.
90-92 Points - Neal Martin
From Alain Vauthier’s estate, a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, this is showing very good fruit intensity on the nose, the oak very unresolved at the moment, nice purity though with blackberries, a touch of iodine and blueberry compote. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, supple and quite fleshy, lovely focus on the caressing finish. Nice tension with wild strawberry and raspberry liqueur. Excellent.

95 Points - Jay Miller (erobertparker.com) "The 2004 Shiraz “Gregor” was sourced from a younger vineyard and includes some partially dried fruit in the style of Amarone. The wine spent 2 years in new French oak hogsheads. It is more deeply colored than its sibling and has a liqueur/port-like character to its aromas and flavors. Powerful, rich, and layered."

Well-structured and concentrated with layers of fruit and an inner-core of minerality. Perhaps lacking the definition of the '99 but a delicious wine nonetheless. Drinking now.

An absolutely textbook great white Graves made from 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon and aged nine months on its lees, this is a prodigious effort displaying notes of white flowers, currants, honeyed citrus, fig, and crushed rocks. The wine is very pure, with full body and high acidity, in a backward, almost tannic style. Give this wine at least 8-10 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 30 years. Tasted Feb 2009
