Meet the key people behind The Vinorium
Founder & Director
Stuart has spent close to 25 years in the wine trade and despite his wealth of expertise; he is very much a hands-on owner / Director. Stuart’s main responsibility (putting the running of our company aside) is the buying of all our wines; from Bordeaux En-Primeur to establishing new UK exclusivities.
Outside of wine, Stuart is a competitive road cyclist and, after taking too many years out for the benefit of our company, is re-emerging as a mountaineer with some big mountain plans. We strongly suggest a visit to Stuart’s website www.stuartmccloskey.com where you will find some truly stunning high-altitude photos taken whilst climbing in the Himalayas and beyond.
Stuart has an incredible weakness for all wines but places 2009 Château Ausone & 2010 Vieux Château Certan amongst his favourites. Pinot Noir features strongly with Domaine Simha, Soumah, Pooley and Hoddles Creek. Shiraz from Dan Standish and Hutton Vale Farm are irresistible as are the superb Chardonnay’s from Domaine Naturaliste.
Junior Buyer & Head of Private Client Sales
Magdalena joined our company in 2014 and has quickly risen to be one of the company’s brightest stars. Her passion and determination has lead Magda to head-up our entire private clients which is an excellent achievement. More recently, Magda’s career has progressed to the joint role as Junior Buyer were she will learn the intricacy of this multifaceted department. Outside of work, Magdalena enjoys creations of cinema and music. She is also a keen photographer and a lot of her free time is spent simply on travelling in the hunt for new inspirations.

Natalie joined The Vinorium in 2017 after almost twenty years’ experience in buying roles within premium stores including Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Natalie spent her first year with The Vinorium looking after the logistics and client service side of the business and really enjoyed getting to know both the industry and the customers. Natalie starts her second year working closely with Michelle in our accounts team.
Outside of work Natalie has two small children who try their hardest to ensure she has very little quiet time to enjoy things like reading and going to the cinema.

Shontelle Client Services & Logistics
Shontelle has spent over ten years in a variety of administrative and sales-based roles; most recently working alongside a globally recognised toy brand. She is very excited to begin her new journey in the wine industry!
Outside of work, she enjoys eating out with friends (a lot), loves cake and enjoys to bake herself. Making a wedding cake for a childhood friend is her biggest cake achievement! She has a real passion for travelling, and loves to see the sunrise in different parts of the world. Most recently she embarked on a Sunrise trek in Nepal; Poon Hill, Ghorepani - reaching an altitude of 3210 metres after quite a challenging but extremely exhilarating 5 day trek with friends. Being able to witness a sunrise over the Annapurna South mountain range was rather breathtaking.
