Meet some of the key people behind The Vinorium and Z&B Vintners
Founder & Director
Without Stuart’s commitment, energy and relentless drive, Z&B Vintners / The Vinorium would not be where it is today. Stuart has spent close to 25 years in the wine trade and despite his wealth of expertise; he is very much a hands-on owner / Director. Stuart’s main responsibility (putting the running of our company aside) is the buying of all our wines; from Bordeaux En-Primeur to establishing new UK exclusivities.
Outside of wine, Stuart is a competitive road cyclist and, after taking too many years out for the benefit of our company, is re-emerging as a mountaineer with some big mountain plans. We strongly suggest a visit to Stuart’s website www.stuartmccloskey.com where you will find some truly stunning high-altitude photos taken whilst climbing in the Himalaya and beyond.
Stuart has an incredible weakness for all wines but places 2009 Château Ausone & 2010 Vieux Château Certan as his two current favourites. Pinot Noir from RAEN, By Farr, DuMOL, Paul Lato, Devotus and Chardonnay from Flowstone, Deep Woods and Chanin are missing from our shelves on a weekly basis...
