Meet the key people behind The Vinorium


Daniel Digby Warehouse & Distribution

Daniel joined the team in 2021 and very quickly got to grips with how The Vinorium operates. He soon set about reorganising the warehouse entirely, ensuring that it always looks wonderfully organised and tidy, including sorting all wines into areas by region. Daniel processes all HQ orders and monitors the delivery progress of each and every one with our courier, to be sure all customers receive exactly what they’ve ordered on the day they want it. He carries out thorough quality control checks on all goods coming into our warehouse, keeping everything in pristine condition.


Michelle Menage Accounts Manager

Michelle has been with The Vinorium since its inception in 2013 and has seen The Vinorium grow from a small and exciting wine shop at Mersham le Hatch, to the multi award-winning Australian specialist it is today. She looks after the day to day accounts of The Vinorium, incorporating general bookkeeping, monthly management accounts and payroll. Michelle also provides inventory management alongside detailed sales data and analysis to highlight trends and support the buying team in decision making.


Natalie Holder Brand Manager

Natalie has recently moved into a new role as our brand manager, a position which (and after four years’ service) is very much befitting her skillset as a former buyer for Harvey Nichols and Harrods. Having moved from luxury retail into the world of wine, Natalie started in a customer service role and then progressed to working in accounts. Natalie has thrived on the challenge of learning about the wine industry from the roots up. Natalie has been the principal lead with Decanter, Zalto and our new website developer which have been managed seamlessly. Her role will widen and cover all day-to-day communications with our wine producers and using this to develop content for the new website.


Shontelle Gomez Client & Logistics Manager

Shontelle has been with The Vinorium for three years. She has recently taken on the role of office manager, ensuring both the office and warehouse are well equipped and day to day operations can run smoothly. Shontelle manages all national and international logistics for the company. She has faced head-on, all the tribulations during and post pandemic that Brexit and global shipping raised, and continues to rise to each and every challenge, ensuring we can seamlessly continue to import and export. All wine storage, both duty paid and under bond is also managed and organised by Shontelle, which can be quite the task with our fast growing portfolio and customer base. She looks after all of our private clients and remains on hand for all enquiries.


Sophie White Apprenticeship Program

Sophie joined the Vinorium in 2021 after leaving the hospitality industry which she’d been a part of since she was 16. The decision of embarking upon a career in the wine industry was sealed when she came across the opportunity offered at The Vinorium, and a trainee position is the perfect introduction for Sophie into the world of wine. It’s a really exciting place to be for Sophie as the business expands with the new HQ construction, and endeavours into new areas which will be suited to her experience with food and drink more generally. Sophie hopes to find a niche and run with it, aiming to eventually learn the art of tasting and writing about wine, exercising her creativity and contributing to content on the website and weekly magazine articles.


Stuart McCloskey
Founder & Director

Stuart has spent over 25 years in the wine trade, and after becoming frustrated of many years buying and selling Bordeaux wines, he moved into the exhilarating New World that is Australia. Despite his wealth of expertise; he is very much a hands-on owner / Director. Stuart’s main responsibility (putting the running of our company aside) is the buying of all our wines and establishing new and exciting UK exclusivities. He liaises with all of his Australian wine contacts on a daily basis, always keeping ahead of the curve and planning what the team can get stuck into next, keeping all customers hooked on The Vinorium. Every single wine is sampled by Stuart before being purchased and imported from Australia to ensure we provide our customers with exactly the quality and style we know they want. He feels it is important to have a family style ethos and ensures that every single team member is involved with decision making for the company, including everyone in wine sampling. Stuart’s passion in life is wine and he endeavours to motivate our customers to have the very same enthusiasm and excitement, through his weekly communications.

James Benn Designer

James is responsible for all our website and e-marketing design and works for The Vinorium on a consultancy basis. He is a highly talented illustrator / designer and does a fantastic job. Almost all of our visual content and imagery is solely created by James, giving the website a unique edge.
