Domaine du Clos du Caillou continues to make some of the most profound, layered and sexy wines of this sun-drenched appellation. They’ve excelled in 2013 and 2014, and in both cases, have produced some of the wines of the vintage. Their focus remains strong for both red and white blends, with stunning reviews and accolades being awarded not only for the top Le Reserve Châteauneuf du Pape, but also the beautiful Le Bouquet Des Garrigues Côtes Du Rhone Blanc which Jeb Dunnuck describes as, "A killer white"!
Fragrant strawberries and quince with pockets of mystery adding to its appeal. Interesting texture with local character; precise. Fresh finish; ideal for food.

Clos du Caillou Châteauneuf du Pape Reserve 2011
96 Points - Jeb Dunnuck (erobertparker.com)
£91.95 per bottleThe 2011 Châteauneuf du Pape Reserve Le Clos du Caillou is near the top of the heap in the vintage, and is a brilliant wine. Giving up classy creme de cassis, black raspberry, ground herbs and creamy licorice, it has full-bodied richness and depth to go with an open, sexy, supple style that’s hard to resist. The tannin here is present however, but is polished and sweet, so it will evolve gracefully going forward.
