Château Tour de Sarrail 2009
Here at The Vinorium we have teamed up with Hubert de Bouärd; co-owner of Château Angelus, and the famed Kentish artist Graham Clarke to create our first own-labelled Bordeaux wine. Individually sourced, using carefully selected ingredients and the finest grapes, this results in an exquisite, premium wine finished to the highest standards. The wine has an exciting labelling concept, in a tradition that dates back to Baron Phillipe de Rothschild in 1924, when he commissioned poster artist Jean Carlu to create a label for the château.
Each bottle of Tour de Sarrail features the unique label designed by the talented and renowned Graham Clarke, one of Britain’s most popular artists whose work has been displayed in the Victoria and Albert Museum, British Museum and Tate Gallery to name a few. Graham brings his own touch of humour to the label, combining traditional techniques with a playful twist.
Château Tour de Sarrail, a Bordeaux made of 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet is a medium-bodied elegant wine with a beautifully defined nose of blackberry, minerals and oak. The palate is balanced with firm grippy tannins, ample freshness, a slight creaminess to the texture and lots of dark berries leading to a light peppery finish.
