Our Top Margaret River Wines

Decanter Magazine (December 2017) edition has just hit the shelves with a key feature celebrating 50 years of winemaking in Margaret River. Three of our wines (all from the Deep Woods stable) have received great reviews. Also featured are wines from Stuart Pym’s old hunting ground, Stella Bella, before selling off and going alone with arguably Margaret Rivers No:1 Sauvignon Blanc producer, Flowstone. The Decanter panel awarded Stella Bella’s ‘Luminosa’ 2014 Chardonnay & Cabernet Sauvignon 96 & 95 points respectively. The Vinorium was the first UK wine merchant to ship these wines directly and fortunately we have some mature stocks available (and they are better priced than current vintages!).

To celebrate the great success of both of these producers which we have strongly believed in for quite some time before their recent press coverage, we are adding our own favourite wines from the 'cool southern hemisphere', starting with our newest discovery - Robert Oatley’s The Pennant Chardonnay 2010. This is by far the purest, most delectable Chardonnay to pass through our lips in recent months (and definitely since we discovered Deep Woods wines at the beginning of the year). Incredible layered and polished to the level of absolute brilliance. We have no shame in admitting we are personally draining the stocks…
