Grant Burge Balthasar 2014 James Halliday "Flavours of red and black berry fruits, spice, dark chocolate and cedary oak have been blended into a medium to full-bodied wine smoothie on the mid-palate before tannins add authority on the finish."

Hardy’s HRB Shiraz 2013 95 Points - James Halliday "D654 McLaren Vale Clare Valley Frankland River. Open-fermented, basket-pressed. McLaren Vale dark chocolate and black fruit richness, the Clare Valley providing some mint and fine, firm tannins, Frankland the pepper, violets and soft black fruit finish. The sum of the parts is greater than the whole, brought together and bonded on the full-bodied palate by persistent, ripe tannins that also add texture."

Colonial Émigré 2006 Jay Miller - "The Colonial Estate’s two flagship wines come from their own property. The 2006 Emigre is a blend of four vineyards and six grape varieties (Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvedre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, and Muscadelle) with yields less than one ton per acre. The complex aromas include smoke, underbrush, mineral, espresso, black cherry, and blackberry liqueur. This is followed by a full-bodied, layered, concentrated wine with spicy, savory flavors, good depth, and several years of aging potential. Drink it from 2012 to 2025."
