This renowned Barossa Shiraz is derived from 50 year old dry-grown single vineyard in Marananga, previously one of the selected for Grange. Their hands-on vineyard management, using old style techniques along with traditional vinification methods, ensures a consistent high quality of the wine. Robert Parker once referred to their Shiraz as: “It is a big backstrapping, robust shiraz, the likes of which cannot be produced elsewhere in the world.”
It is firmly structured and intensely fruited with berry/cherry fruit, pepper and cinnamon spice flavours, finishing with bitter, dark chocolate. The addition of viognier makes itself more than apparent in apricot/tropical overtones.
