"One of the leading producers of sparkling wine in Tasmania, and led by wine maker Ed Carr,
Australia’s most awarded sparkling winemaker"
One of the leading producers of sparkling wine in Tasmania, and led by wine maker Ed Carr, Australia’s most awarded sparkling winemaker and unanimously considered to be the country’s greatest, whose accolades include the prestigious life time achievement award. Finding their home in Tasmania, a region that is rapidly becoming known as one of the world's most premium cool climate regions, a potential that has only just began to be realised, House of Arras have identified and developed several vineyard sights across Tasmania that show the ideal conditions for producing high quality, sparkling wine.
Amongst their ever growing list of awards is the Best Wine in Show Trophy award at the KPMG Royal Sydney wine show, an award dominated by still red and white wines, House of Arras is the only sparkling wine to have ever been awarded this coveted award for their 2007 Grand Vintage. Their 2003 Late Disgorged won countless medals and trophies that include Gold at both the Decanter World Wine Awards and the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships. These are merely a footnote on the extensive list of awards given in recognition of this great producer's achievements. Their reputation is fully deserved and is continuing to grow, fixing their place on the list amongst some of the worlds greatest sparkling wine producers.
In 2020, we introduced to our portfolio a new addition by House of Arras; A by Arras Premium Cuvée NV. It’s seriously delicious and worth every penny. Additionally, and unlike most of its older siblings, ‘A by Arras’ includes a measure of Pinot Meunier, which we love to see. The wine spends a minimum of 3 years on lees before it's released and at least 6 months on-cork, which is a great sign of quality as expected from House of Arras.
