Barbera

Italy’s second most commonly planted red wine grape after Sangiovese, Barbera is a dark skinned and versatile grape variety found in several Italian wine regions that is used in both blended wines and single varietals.

When young, most Barbera wines have a bright red-cherry character with a warm plumminess similar in style to a Merlot.
