Mike Bennie, The Wine Front "Single vineyard expression, singled out, “I like it for its markers, a drying coil of tannin to the fruit, that sort of for me, and when I taste that, that’s what I recognise from that vineyard, and so if I can taste that, and only from certain parts of the vineyard, I like to single that out”, explains Duncan Forsyth, “it’s not a variety thing, not an us thing, it’s a vineyard thing, so that’s why I like it. Often people talk vineyard markers as fruit expression, I don’t think that, I think it comes out as texture if it works.”
Expressive, personality imbued wine that marches to its own beat. Very brambly, dark fruited, autumnal and savoury, with, indeed, this beautiful thread of fine, lacy tannins of a graphite, smoky spice, earthy ilk. Long, luxurious and Italianate by nature, the wine finds kin in alpine nebb and nerello mascalese, a grip and grunt, yet freshness, lightness and cool nature to fruit character, albeit back seat. Don’t expect the bullish pinots and concentration. Gossamer, fine, fresh, savoury to the core. You could say unlike anything from Otago, which seems unfair, as it describes its place with strength. Wonderful pinot."

- In Bond: Exclude UK Duty and VAT, and can either be delivered to a UK bonded warehouse in the UK, or released for international delivery.
- Duty Paid: UK Duty @ £26.78 per 9 litres and VAT @ 20% has been paid.
Wines are only available in whole, unmixed cases unless otherwise stated.
