Stuart McCloskey, March 2025 “Simply gorgeous – what a beautiful Grenache. The perfume is heavenly scented and fills my glass with sweet, floral perfume, raspberry, wild strawberry, spiced biscuit, black cherry, cranberry, briar, white pepper, a satisfying waft of alpine herbs and cold metal / rust. Top drawer on the aromatics. The flavours are long and fresh, the tannins crisp, and the palate feel flows like gossamer sheets of silk. Do you know what? I am going to declare this beauty as one of the prettiest / finest examples of Grenache I have sampled in years. This will also appeal to all fans of Pinot Noir. I am hooked… Gorgeous black cherries, blueberry compote, raspberry, kirsch, and blackcurrant pastilles flow uninterrupted. The acidity and tannins provide perfect balance. This feels wonderfully glossy without being overworked (quite the contrary – purity at its finest). This is so succulent, packed with freshness and is a joyous experience to drink. Blood orange is the last ride, but she goes on for an age. Beautiful, beautiful wine, with all the grace and flavour you could ever wish for. Gobsmacked, if truth be told. Drink now to 2030. Served using Zalto Burgundy stemware as it holds the bouquet perfectly.”
