Stuart McCloskey "Another John’s Blend that struts with its own confidence and doesn’t give a sod about fashion. The bouquet is super-deep, brooding with cold steel, graphite, lavender pastille, liquorice, Mediterranean herb, grilled meat, mulberry, blackcurrant, dried mint, plum – I could easily go-on. The palate oozes plushness – this is built to satisfy and right out of the blocks. Dense, dark and sexy. One of those wines for which you buckle-up and get ready for the hedonistic ride… The fruit saturates the palate – the density is off the charts. However, this is not one of those disjointed fruit-bombs – far from it. Black liquorice, graphite, olive and vanilla add lovely touches. This is powerful and yet provides accessibility. Extraordinary length. This has a long future ahead of it however, it’s in no hurry. See you in 2040. Served using Zalto Bordeaux glassware. Served on the ‘cool’ side of room temperature, which I highly recommend."
